Links to "Feed the Hungry" Related Sites
by Ann Finch
From Ann Finch, EGR Diocesan Coordinator from the Diocese of Washington. Links to site's like "Feed the Hungry" which offers visitor's an opportunity to donate funds from site affiliates by clicking on a "Feed the Hungry" button.
Most of the people already know the virtures of using The Hunger Site (http://www.thehungersite.com). The site's affiliates donate small quantities of food to hungry people with each click (once/day/person) that the site's "Give Free Food" button receives. They make money off of unobtrusive ads (no pop-ups that I have ever seen) to the sides of their page. I think that that money is supplemented by corporate donations. At any rate, as it turns out, their model is one used in a number of other sites, so for those interested, enjoy:

http://www.hungerfighters.com/
http://www.porloschicos.com/PorLosChicos.NET/index_english.htm
http://www.ewi.com/needy/ (this one has an annoying sound to it, but
hey, if it gives aid then what do I care?)
http://www2.povertyfighters.com/ (click this one twice daily)
http://www.clickbokin.ekokoro.jp/50.html (this one is in Japanese, but
the big orange "click" button is self explanatory).
http://www.ripple.org/ (click each of four buttons on home page)
There are also a few search engines that donate to charities with each
search:
