Aubrey Sells Cider
by John Mark Parker - St Francis, Macon, GA
A variety of programs have helped to provide funds for the lunches, and all members of the parish are encouraged to offer suggestions and ideas for raising funds and awareness, with the understanding that the one with the idea will also help implement the action. And that's what Aubrey did...
St. Francis (Macon, GA) is in partnership ith St. Marc's in Trouin, Haiti (for several years now).
We've sent two mission teams there to visit and build relationships. On he first trip, we discovered that many f the more than 250 children who attend St. Marc's School walked three ours each day to attend classes, and ost of them had no food to bring. St. Francis raised enough money to uild a kitchen, which has been working well. he also committed to sending money to buy food for lunches for five years.

With devastation wreaked by the recent hurricane (Noel), funds are needed now more than ever. We have learned that the church, school and kitchen are still standing, although some damage has been sustained. In addition, homes of parishioners have been flooded, and most of the animals are gone. All are asked to pray for our brothers and sisters in Haiti and to share their resources as they are led.
